MOOLOOLABAH INVITATIONAL 2004

The team involved in the organization, coordination, promotion, fundraising and general running of the Paddle for Peace Invitational 5km Ocean Paddleboard Race are dedicated to the success of this new event on the calendar. Seen as a ‘natural progression’ in the context of Ocean Events. The idea for such an event at Mooloolaba was brought about by the invitation to Paddle for Peace, by Garth Proud, Managing Director of United Sports Marketing, one of the most successful sports marketing company in the state of QLD. The most successful of their events are the Noosa & Mooloolaba Triathlons, and the annual Mooloolaba Beach Pub to Club Swim. Paddle for Peace Ltd., is a non-profit public company founded by a group of pro-active men and women, (long time residents of the Sunshine Coast) and endowed with extensive backgrounds in ocean events and activities.
